We LOVE the concept of charitybuzz! Would you mind sharing a bit about what the organization is and what brought it into being?
We truly want to make a difference, and build the largest upscale community who want to doGOOD and liveWELL. I had a background in consumer products, retailing and technology -- plus an interest in pop culture. It is an ideal time to utilize community building on the internet with the need and trend to give back. What brought the organization into being? A void in the market and a desire to create a business that was channel-changing, fun and a positive force for good.

So many celebrities have a special issue of concern to which they lend their voice and support. Would you be able to tell us a bit about some of those über-motivated stars and how they've worked with charitybuzz to increase awareness for their cause(s)?
Many of our celebrities understand the unique ability that they have to use their fame to promote what is important to them. President Clinton truly wants to make the world a better place. Bette Midler wants to transform underserved areas of New York City and build parks and create opportunities for lower income residents. Ethel Kennedy wants to continue the Robert Kennedy legacy and attack human rights violations in all corners of the world. Russell Simmons realizes he has the unique ability to create jobs, build careers and provide educational opportunities to minorities in this country and in Africa. Chevy Chase believes passionately that the future of our planet depends on paying attention to the environment -- and the list goes on and on. All of these celebs and dozens more positively and enthusiastically donate their time for casual one-of-a-kind experiences we can auction to benefit the charities that they passionately create and support. They have fun while they are doing it, and we raise millions of dollars all at the same time!

This time of year in particular, we all focus on our blessings and our gratitude for them. If we want to direct our efforts to "give back" via your organization, how do you recommend we get started?
