Allie: Congratulations on your pregnancy -- and Soleil, you wear pregnancy so well! Can you tell us a bit about how your prenatal preparation is different for Baby Number Two?

Soleil: Thanks! I’m so much busier this time around compared with the first pregnancy. It’s been pretty different because I have Poet to catch up with while at the same time running my store.  So I haven’t been reading all of the books or doing the kind of stuff you can do when you have more time.  It’s been good though because I haven’t had time to really freak out about it.  The second time I’m definitely more relaxed but less prepared.  Though during the final two weeks I’ll probably be like “AAHH!”

Allie: Do you think you will you do anything differently this time around in the newborn days?

Soleil: I’m just going to try and cherish every moment like I did with Poet -- spending those first days at home loving and cuddling.  You have to try and cherish the newborn time that lasts just a quick few days.

Allie: Those first days of loving and cuddling are so irreplaceable! What else worked well with Poet that you plan to repeat?

Soleil: I walked her around throughout the nights.  She had had a hard time with her tummy and I’m hoping that doesn’t happen again.  But walking them around is such an amazing bonding experience -- walking and talking to them at night; it’s a great experience!
