Tips for the unseasoned Ski-Diva Wannabe?
Number one, don't worry about hat hair: get a helmet. It's critical for staying safe. Doesn't matter if you're a beginner or an expert -- anyone can fall or be hit by another skier. A good helmet can be a life saver.
Number two, take lessons. Not from your husband, your boyfriend or even your best friend. You don't need the emotional baggage that comes along with that! Many ski areas have dedicated women's programs. They're fun and they're geared toward helping you improve your skills in a way that makes sense to you.
And number three -- and this is by far the most important -- have fun. Don't take skiing seriously. The main thing is to have a good time. Otherwise, why bother?
