Are there any families for whom your method has not worked?
Lisa: As long as the parents follow the steps outlined in the book it works every time. And with older babies such as a 9 month old or a 15 month old it works in less time, often as little as 3 days.
But those 3 days can be really tough because an older baby already has bad sleep habits that need breaking. Once your child has reached the right age (6-8 weeks), weight (9 pounds), and food intake (at least 24 ounces in a 24 hour period), etc., the earlier you start sleep training, the better.
Who are the toughest to teach your method? The babies or the parents?
Suzy: In light of my answers above you probably already know the answer to this one. Parents!
We love to dish...are there any celebs/politicos in the D.C. area who you've helped reach the sleep-through the night goal? Can you share?
Suzy: I am sorry I can't, but I will tell you this: It does not matter if you are in charge of your country, handling billions of dollars, entertaining millions of people. Once you come home and you hold your baby, you are not a celebrity anymore; you are just Mom or Dad and all pales in comparison to the new baby. And celebs do not want to fail their kids. They feel the same insecurities we do, they make the same mistakes we do, they are learning just as any parent is.
Babies are the weak and strong point in all of us. Babies will soften a strong man; they will take the spotlight in any parent's world, whether you live in Hollywood, New York, Washington D.C., Miami, London, Paris, or Carrolton, VA. And anywhere in the world, we all need a good night's sleep.
Thanks so much for taking the time to talk to us! Sweet dreams!
Suzy: Thank you for giving me the opportunity to chat with your readers! Good Night!
