Summer Tee Party
Fashion fun with Sydney

Maybe it’s my thinly veiled affinity for the rock-and-roll lifestyle. Maybe it’s my attraction to thought-provoking, humorous and snarky statements. Maybe I’m an unapologetic fan of expressing feelings, by whatever means feasible.

Moods and mercury have lifted. ‘Tis the season for lightweight – and lighthearted –apparel. Nothing says summer quite like a brand-new cottony soft tee – or better yet, a whole collection of them!

You needn’t wear your heart on your sleeve, but you can wear your mindset on your chest. Baby can, too – with your help. Your irreverent infant can speak his or her perceived philosophy long before that highly anticipated first word is uttered.

In my view, bumper stickers lean toward belligerence. Declarations are made without the opportunity for response. Conversely, tee shirts build bridges. You can speak your mind with a smile. Convey your sentiments with sass, and facilitate your little one’s ability to do the same. Let the conversations begin.

We all have our maternal splurge indulgences, those irresistible impulse items to which we consistently succumb, whether for ourselves or our kids. For Allie, it’s books. For Eliza, it’s shoes. Isabelle’s hooked on stationery. For me, tees are the thing. Spunky or funky, metro or retro, I love ‘em all.

It’s tee time, Mamas!
