Rake in Relief
Easing the egregiousness with Eliza
The Inuit people possess a legendary 30 words for snow. Why the extensive lexicon? Because even the slightest variants in precipitation make a considerable impact upon their day-to-day lives. As a bump-bearing mama-to-be, with each passing day I'm more keenly attuned to my need for differentiated strains (word choice intentional) of "comfort."
Every aspect of my being is pulled to the extent of its elasticity. Beyond the obvious abdominal dermatological duress, my hormones are heightened, my emotions are ever-in-flux, and my bodily strength and stamina are sapped. Even though I've done this expectancy gig before, past experience merely serves up a reminder of pregnancy's predictable challenges.
Whether it's as simple as supping on saltines, or as complex as procuring a prenatal chiropractor, acquiring the means to relieve maternity's "moments" is a mandatory task.
So go ahead; assuage your aversions and cave in to your cravings. You've got 40 weeks.
Slip yourself something a little more comfortable.
