College co-ed.  CIA agent.  Mind-reading superhero.  There aren’t many roles this actor hasn’t devoured, but the most important has been that of a devoted dad.  Father of three boys, Greg Grunberg, was in for the lead of a lifetime when his oldest son Jake was diagnosed with epilepsy.  His talent, big heart, and sense of humor make this actor-turned-activist a man with mojo we can’t help but crave.

How did your life change with the birth of your first child?
It turned upside down. Elizabeth and I quickly realized that it actually turned us right side up. Having kids gave us purpose and taught us that raising children is the most incredible and important thing a person can do. It's the only truly meaningful thing there is.

What was the biggest surprise to you as a first-time father?
My capacity for love. I thought it couldn't get any greater than what I was giving to my wife. But that was nothing compared to what we give our children. That, and the shock and smell of changing my first diaper. Holy Sh-t!

Were there still surprises the second and third time around?
Yeah, no matter how you think you get used to it... poop stinks!

How do you stay grounded as a father and family man while in the midst of your hugely successful career on Felicity, Alias, and now Heroes?
I really live two very different lives. One is filled with action, high-flying stunts, stressful situations, excitement at every turn, and the incredible pressure of having so many people looking to me to save the world as their superhero! The other is as a TV actor.
