Tell me about Band from TV. You’ve got some real heavyweights jamming with you! How do you plan to use Band from TV to benefit PEP and other foundations?
Band from TV consists of me on drums, Hugh Laurie from House on keyboards, James Denton from Desperate Housewives on guitar, Bonnie Somerville from Kitchen Confidential on vocals, and Bob Guiney from The Bachelor on vocals as well. We are cutting an album and DVD to raise money for each one of our charities. The majority of the proceeds will go to support our various causes (PEP, Save The Children, Cure Autism Now, Coalition Against Domestic Violence, etc.)  Plus, we will play anywhere, anytime, for tons of money - it's all tax deductible and goes to charity.  So if you're VERY wealthy and having a Bar Mitzvah, give us a call.

Elisabeth Shue’s Celebrity Card

You’ve also gotten a lot of your celeb pals to design greeting cards to benefit PEP, right? How did you make that happen? Do you have a favorite card (besides your own, naturally)?
That started as a way to create a revenue stream for my charity so we didn't have to throw a huge event every year. I asked a few celeb buddies to finger paint and I was gong to throw them up on eBay. Then my good friend Mike Stahl hooked me up with a wonderful woman in NY named Ellen Silver who owns a greeting card company called KidsArt, Inc.  She thought it could be a wonderful way to raise money, so we created these greeting card box sets and it just took off from there. We have over 200 hand-painted celebrity works of art. Nobody has declined. The response has been incredible.  Ellen and I created a website where people can go to purchase the cards (www.celebritycards.com). Great holiday gift by the way. My favorite celeb artist has to be Kevin Kline or Sly Stallone (but he's been an amazing artist for years, apparently).

What is the best way for people to learn about epilepsy? Is there one primary source of information that you recommend?
Contact your local chapter of the Epilepsy Foundation of America, or just go to the PEP website (hyperlink “PEP website” - www.4pep.org) and link to any number of sites to learn more. Knowledge is the most important tool when battling this terrible disorder.

Any parting words for us?
Thanks for the exposure. If you have a child with epilepsy please know you are NOT alone and under the right care, it will get under control.

With Greg’s love of life and compassion for change, this certainly won’t be the last time we hear from our hunky hero.  I know I’ll tune in to this (un)caped crusader’s amazing adventures for years to come.  For more information about Greg and his causes, visit the Pediatric Epilepsy Project www.4pep.org, KidsArt Celebrity Card Store www.celebritycards.com, and Band from TV www.BandFromTV.net.
