Such is the triple play of New Year's Day traditionalists.
(Sure beats the housecleaning, hangover and halitosis alternative!)

While the triple "F" may occupy the bulk of the population's post-party itinerary today, not so for me.
Starting the new year with a reverie on the past year's glory -- and the occasional lack thereof -- is my perennial plan. Every "Year in Review" newspaper and magazine (tabloids included) has been lovingly held for today's entertainment. All the shows encapsulating the highlights of 2007-- the fashion, the music, the foibles -- are on my DVR.

The black-eyed peas and cabbage are simmering (I do adhere to some traditions!), my coziest cashmere has been donned, and I'm cuddling down for a relaxing retrospective....at least during Mai and Ringo's New Year's naptimes!
