More Martinis for Mama?

Considering a full half of our Mama corps is currently with child, perhaps it's a good thing the produce harvested from my adopted olive tree will arrive at my door in oil form!  Dodging the mechanization so characteristic of modern farming, the team growers (and harvesters) at the Nudo olive grove employ more traditional methods in maintaining their land and its fruits. With world-consciousness and earth-love ever in our hearts (dare I say "green" living after my pro-color diatribe Dish?), financially caring for a tree across the globe seems the right thing to do. Cooking with olive oil has long benefited the health of our Mediterranean brothers and sisters; Stateside, I'm already fantasizing late summer afternoons dipping fresh baguette morsels in the savory oil extracted my fruit ripened in Italy. (Maybe I can invite George Clooney and Sarah Lawson who undoubtedly miss his Italian getaway while back in the U.S..... ;) )

As an amateur chef, I'm admittedly somewhat of an EVOO addict! I swirl, sniff and sample olive oil the way others obsess over wine... at least I do these days :)

Can't wait to try this one...
