...is like a day without sunshine. Our recent week's opining on methods and means to monumentalize life's moments has me thinking...
Stress. It's a sure-fire snicker squelcher. As a new mom, my need for organizing papers, pictures and particulars has increased 200%; and while I aspire to a sense of straightforward simplicity, it's become clear that an archival assistant would provide invaluable strategic support. My pre-twins personal daily agenda is still at (and in) my right hand; but the proliferation (welcomed, but a proliferation nonetheless) of peripherals that accompanied my twins' arrival mandates more comprehensive cataloguing.
Enter serendipity. Last week the brown-suited delivery man had me sign for an unexpected (but happily received) preview copy of Mom's Ultimate Family Organizer: A One Stop Planner for Busy Moms to test-drive! Written by popular parenting and planning guru, Amy Keroes, the three-ring binder has ample dividers and family-friendly categories to keep my three-ring circus in a single command center order. Calendars, sticky notes, information indices...a place for everything, and everything in its place. All the business cards, receipts and leaflets cluttering the bottom of my bag have been sorted, and are now ready for retrieval as needed.
Certain sections won't be called up for duty until Mai and Ringo matriculate into preschool; but when they do, I know exactly where those picture order forms, permission slips and class Valentine lists will reside. The entire text is peppered with recommendations and revelations from candid and caring mamas.
Come over and see mine, Girls...and see what you think!
(Let me know when you're planning to visit and I'll mark my new calendar!)

PS - Cute, isn't it?
Eliza, I remember you talked to Jessica Seinfeld when her Deceptively Delicious book was about to come out, and that binder presentation was so retro-adorable.
This book possesses that same marvelously maternal appeal.
