My prayers have been answered: The story of the House of Gucci will finally be told on the Silver Screen.

Ridley Scott has signed on to direct, and if he brings the same punch he brought to Thelma and Louise and Gladiator, I’ll be first in line at the box office.

Of course, truth is always stranger than fiction, and while I don’t want to spoil anything in case you don’t know the whole Gucci story, rest assured – there will be murder, intrigue and fine leathergoods to spare. Yes, I’m hoping this fashion flick will be to posh mamas what The Godfather was for wiseguy wannabes everywhere.

To celebrate, I may have to splurge on this festive little silver number, just in time for the holidays...
