Brocade for Baby

The best part about Ben finally being potty-trained was that I could at long last leave my diaper bag behind and trade up to a tote of more, well, mannered sensibilities. These days, all I need room for in my bag – aside from my stuff, of course! – is a snack for Ben and a drink box.

But now that the babe beneath my bump will shortly be making his or her grand entrance into the world, I have reluctantly begun preparing for the return to diaperdom.

Well, I’m pleased to report that in the four short years since I was pregnant with Ben, diaper bags have come a long, long way. Case in point: Petunia Picklebottom’s Cake collection:

These smartly designed brushed-velvet-and-tweed-brocade bags – available in three different styles, and a ton of color combos – are purses first and pack-alls second. Which means that even though they all come with ample interior pockets, change pads and wipey cases in coordinating colors, they are truly lovely to look at.

XOXO
