Although I was a mere babe in my mama’s arms in the 1970s, the era’s aesthetic ethos continues to entrance me. The decade’s far-out fashion, in particular, holds a playful appeal... and nothing epitomizes the ’70s more than the leisure suit.
Of course, there’s still nothing cool about a grown-up guy in a leisure suit, and yet they somehow work fantastically well on smaller men like mine. At last, a spirited little company called Light and Gravity has revived this neglected gem from the depths of derision. When I put Ben in this outfit, I can barely walk 10 feet without a stranger stopping me and demanding to know where I got it.

Far from prickly polyester, these 100-percent organic cotton suits also have a very modern sensibility about them, in that they are created in a sustainable and fair manufacturing environment. Light and Gravity’s sister site – www.babywit.com – is full of other neat finds, too, and is definitely on my list of top 10 online shopping sites for the five-and-under set.

P.S. I’m sooo loving Syd’s Mommy Card find! Keeping up with contacts when your business is babies never looked so good!
