  • Plane-ly Fashionable

As we anticipate air-travel with the tiniest of tots, these onesies caught our collective eye:

Aren't they just the most darling? Acquire these and you can be sure your littlest carry-on is ready for take-off -- properly attired, of course!

  • Saluting My Sisters

Do you know what happens this weekend? No, it isn't time to change the clocks yet, Silly Syd.
Sunday, September 21st is National Women's Friendship Day. You know I cherish any opportunity to pen my adorations on a piece of fabulous stationery, but this day? This day is so much more, my Sisters. This Sunday is a day to honor the women in our lives who take care of us, challenge us, inspire us and in general, make us more. You mean more to me than I could ever express on a mere piece of papyrus or a bit on a blog...

Now before the hormones completely take me over, I want you to take a look at this fun little bag from Ann Veronica, the Friendship Tote:

In vibrant reds, greens and blues and bold, this 100% biodegradable bag is made entirely out of remnants (a friend to the environment) and 10% of all sales go to Maine's Good Shepherd Food Bank. But that's not all, either. Since I already have the tissues out, I may as well forge on...

The owner of Ann Veronica, Ann Perrino, has designed a special tote for a friend of hers that was diagnosed with breast cancer, and is donating 10% of the sales (not proceeds, sales!) to breast cancer research. The "Bravery" tote is a lasting tribute to Laurie Hyndman, and a symbol not only of the courage that women dealing with cancer display daily, but of the unbreakable bond and permanent impressions we women make with and on one another daily.

    Friends.
Wonderful, special, one-of-a-kind, priceless and perfectly imperfect friends. My Sisters. I am grateful beyond words.
    xoxo

  • Grand Slam Gifting!

I've thought of the perfect gift for my babe's birthday this month!

We have tickets to one of the few remaining games at the last season in Yankee Stadium - The House that Babe Built. The tickets can be quite expensive, and are becoming more and more difficult to come across (trust me), but what a special event! And while the Yankees may not be winning any world series games this year, they're still making history in the Cathedral...

    Home Run!

  • How timely, Eliza!

Have you ladies heard of Rosie Pope Maternity?

Even as my mouth was watering over Eliza's gorgeous backless gown from Rosie Pope in today's newsletter, I received word that the couple behind the line has welcomed a new son to the family: James Roderick Pope was born today! And if having a baby while simultaneously dressing Eliza wasn't enough, Rosie and Daron Pope are also opening a stunning flagship store in Soho this month. And you thought you were busy...

  • A Miami Vice Ride

This new stroller from Maclaren was designed by Akira Minagawa, the creator and chief designer behind Japanese fashion house Mina Perhonen. So why does this s-c-r-e-a-m Miami Vice/Don Johnson to me? Couldn't you just see your little sockless Sonny Crockett taking the city by storm in one of these?

It's got all the usual safety and style we expect from Maclaren, but whether this retro-fabulousness is for me or not - well, truthfully, I'm undecided. But if you covet one of your own, you'd better hustle to SoHo. The Mina Perhonen line is available there exclusively through the end of 2008.

  • Tiny Pastel Cardigans...

I know we're talking shoes this week, but Ladies, I had to show you this adorable little cotton and cashmere set from Angel Dear...

Sweet in pink and green for little girls, or charming and adorable in blue and green... if only I knew which one to get! Maybe one of each...

  • Steal My Summer Style

Mamas, with just a single month of sweet summer left before Labor Day, I couldn't let one more minute pass without showing you one of my favorite beach bags this year! The Ditzy Kiwi Leisure Tote from the Divine Darlings at JP Lizzy has taken me from shore to top floor and back again -- isn't it adorable?

Generously sized, this beauty is completely wipeable, inside and out, and the padded strap makes toting it a breeze -- even when full to the brim!
Happy bag? Happy Mama. Get one for yourself!

  • Gwen Stefani Stole My Style

But no worries, Sisters -- I wore it first!

  • Free Bottles for Your Father's Day Baby

I wasn't born yesterday, but this sounds like a great deal! Did you Mamas hear this one?

The fine Daddies who founded BornFree bottles (those BPA-free beauties) are offering a year's supply of their baby bottles to babies born yesterday! So if you, or someone you know, had a baby on Father's Day, this is clearly the deal of a lifetime!

The first thousand to produce a valid birth certificate will be sipping in stylish safety, so don't delay -- Get your free bottles! And congratulations!!!

  • About to Pop Over Props to Pops

Have you seen the entries so far in the "Props to Pops" contest?

    http://www.poshcravings.com/forums/t/563.aspx

The stories are incredible! Even though I know we aren't eligible to win the amazing prizes, I might have to enter just to brag about my own Daddy Moments... And maybe I'm just horomonal (likely), but some are real tear-jerkers...

    Read 'em and weep!

  • Reinventing the Heel

Sister-to-Sister Warning: borderline giddy shoe shopping happening!

If you've tired of your oh-so-blah stilettos, and are too wedged out to even consider a platform heel... If flats have left you, well, flat, fear not fashion-forward foot-trend friends! Our favorite designers are reinventing the heel!

I told you they were reinventing the heel! Do you love them, or do you love them? Love!
And I know there have to be a million more out there... wonder how many more I can find before dinner...

  • Katie and Armani -- For Kids!

Word on Fashion Street is that none other than Katie Holmes is teaming with Armani to create a new line for children.
I'm sure you can guess her muse! Mrs. Cruise designed this little number for Suri last summer...

Katie Holmes for Armani is expected to deliver over the next 2 years, starting with a toddler line for Spring 2009. Sign me up!

  • Crazy coincidences...

Did everyone see Syd rockin' that Jasmine Di Milo dress in the Chicago Dish this week?

    Here's Syd:             Here's Christina Ricci:

    Who wore it better?
I'm definitely siding with my sister Syd on this one! I think Miss Ricci is stunning, but those shoes look downright dowdy next to Sydney's.

But that wasn't the only coincidence of note -- stick with me on this one...
The designer behind Syd (and Christina's) dramatic LBD is the lovely and talented Jasmine Al Fayed for her label Jasmine Di Milo. This particular little number is from Jasmine's Spring 2008 collection which was inspired by architect Santiago Calatrava. Does that ring any bells?
If not, you might want to revisit my pick for this Windy City-inspired week...
The unbelievable Chicago Spire was designed by none other than -- you guessed it -- Santiago Calatrava!
    Small world, isn't it?

  • Write on!

Eliza, I laughed out loud when I saw your earlier post! I have had stationery on the brain, too -- great minds think alike!

The notes currently nesting in my noggin are from this wonderful Chicago-area designer mom to two. She serves up her deliciously sweet treats on Etsy as Sarah & Abraham. With fresh spring colors and a new take on beloved classics, her notes are just beyond adorable...

My child will certainly have stationery long before s/he has the ability to pen her/his own post!

But my fickle preggers brain fluctuates between notes with precious silhouettes for mini-me and wild, jungle love for these stunning, sophisticated and decidedly more mature animal print cards from BFF Kate Spade at FineStationery.com:

Don't you just love them? It's classic and kind of wild simultaneously -- a highly desirable combination!

But for less animalistic moments, these treasures from Daisy Princess Paperie are my favorites:

They are high-quality and unbelievably fun -- you have to see their designs. I have their whole collection of stationery -- really.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some notes to write -- and not on my blackberry, either!

  • Parading Political Passion

Without going too overly political in this happy place of fashion and friends, I simply cannot believe the abundance of political fashion available for both mom and tot!
Check out some of my fun finds -- and no, I'm not telling you which way I'll vote!
