So the fam and I just flew back from an uber-nice nuptial weekend, and contrary to any such affair heretofore since Miss Skye was born, I was totally relaxed -- it was a blast! Reason? Love my girl to no end and back, but I would be remiss to claim that weddings and similar soirees have been anything even closely resembling a cakewalk.
Yes, I've been to many an evening event for which on the invite was specified "no children, please," and that's all fine and good, but when guests are coming from all over the globe to partake in a party, we can't very well just flip open the White Pages and point to the first name we come across, give 'em a ring and hope they show up as ... not a criminal, now can we?
That's why I was SO super stoked to learn of the bride and groom's awesome offering to their guests with little guys and gals: childcare, compliments of VIP Babysitting Services, part of Corporate Kids Events, Inc.
What's more, 'twasn't simply another boring babysitting session -- Skye was in happy-girl heaven! She did crafts! They sang songs! She saw Mommy an average of once ever 3.56 minutes! OK, so maybe that's what made me happy ...

So cute!
No secret that I love to have a good time, but I am a Skye-lover first and foremost, and any opportunity I have to include her -- even in the smallest way -- I know, will make her little day! I think VIP has come through with a most marvelous marriage of kids plus grown up-geared events (they also do corporate events, reunions, tradeshows and conventions, etc) to equal a fabby time for all!
Dare I say I have returned home ... rested?
