Oh, I am all about the Shu Uemura -- I have refused to use anything else since I first tried it 5 years ago. It has the perfect amount of tension, and the replaceable rubber pad is rounded, so that rather than crimping my lashes, it actually curls them. I do have to replace the whole thing every year or so, because the hinges get loose and it loses some of the tension, but it's a well-spent $21!!
