    Would you...?

Check out Isabelle's blog to see what we mean!

Would you dress your child in political attire?

    • Yes. We're proud of how we vote! Why not share with the world? (20%)
    • No. I don't want to use my child as a billboard or deal with the inevitable debate. (80%)

    Re: Would you...?

Isabelle's blog entry is HYSTERICAL! Truly some wonderfully inventive attire for the littlest Americans.
However, I have to vote "no" on the poll question as worded here...for the same reason I don't want to place a bumper sticker on my car, despite my unwavering support for my candidate of choice. For me, I think one of the greatest blessings of life in this country is our ability (our responsibility, really) to cast a vote of our own conviction, without fear of reprisal. Think I'm too much of a "keep the peace" person to instigate the very likely debate spawned by tees representing current candidates....go see my follow-up to Isabelle's blog to see what Mai and Ringo are wearing to the polling place this fall!

In light of our doubly blessed with babies situation, I'd be quite tempted to put one baby in a tee of the eventual Democratic candidate and the other baby in a John McCain tee just for fun. But I dislike the idea of each onlooker (based on their own choice) "cooing" to one and scowling at the other!

(Side note: our neighbors have six-year-old twins, each of whom has declared their candidate of preference. In that instance, I'd allow/encourage them to wear their political passion on their chests!)

    Namaste~~

I agree, I would not dress my child in a political affiliated shirt.  Not my style and if i wanted to share my opinion of who i am in support of, I would convey the message in other ways.  Maybe i would wear a shirt myself, even that is something that I could not see myself doing.

No I wouldn't.  I agree with bruinmom.  I don't think I would wear a political shirt myself.  I rather keep who I'm voting for private.
