    Baby Names and Shaya Charvet...

So as soon as I caught the pictorial spread of the gorgeous Brooke Burke and her family in In Touch, along with the long-awaited name of their newborn son, I rang up Iz to see if she had caught the piece, and if she liked the name. (You know me and alliteration...I LOVE it!)

What does our uber-ethical traditionalist mama Iz reveal? That in the conversation she and Brooke had right before Shaya's birth, Brooke told her that they loved the name Shaya, and were seriously considering it for their son on the way! They wanted to meet their baby boy first, but that the name Shaya topped the list.

So to all the web-wide naysayers who've been "picking" on Brooke and David for their perceived delay in naming their newborn...give it a rest! They were just making sure their sweet boy matched the moniker they loved!

[Way to keep confidentiality, Isabelle...I'm VERY impressed!]

So in a conversation starter: Did you/Do you know what you will name your baby(-ies) before birth? Do tell your story!

    Namaste~~

Re: Baby Names and Shaya Charvet...

I guess I missed this article!  Sorry so late with an answer, and I LOVE the name.

We had a girl and a boy name set in stone before we even knew the gender of our special one!   I had a patient named "Aubrey" before I became pregnant, and immediately remembered it when we discovered we were expecting.   Jason loved it too, and we changed the spelling so it would be more feminine.  Aubrey originates as a male name, so we wanted it to be different and used Aubree instead.  Her middle name Reese, was of course after Reese Witherspoon (my favorite little Type-A mommy).  It was just so perfect, and I threatened my other friends and acquaintences if they even dared use any part of her name:)

If we have another girl, we like Darby, Olivia, or Keeley for a first name, and Jaxe, (after my neice who died at birth) for the middle.

My boy will be Jackson Brock.  Sounds like a movie star name to me!!  If we could just get those babies here.  Of course, if we have twins,( and it is very possible) I may have to rethink my decisions!
