True -- Rose really has run rampant lately, especially as a middle name. Grace, too. They're both classic and feminine, which is why so many people like them, I'm sure, but I think a middle name is a great way to get creative and take chances!

    Re: Lucky Little Sunday Rose

LOVE Sunday (especially since she was born on a Monday, which hasn't the best associations from a working person's point of view! ;) ).

As a mom who went slightly out on a limb naming her children Mai and Ringo, perhaps surprisingly, I do like Rose and Grace -- for middle or first names! Think both of them (maybe because they're monosyllabic) have a very classic feel to them...and have a multi-century longevity to them, making them not quite as "trendy" as other names seem to be.

Although the inclusion of Kidman in her name didn't mandate a second middle name necessarily. Sunday Kidman Urban violates the all names with the same number of syllables taboo, but sounds okay to me!

Wonder if they will call her "Sunday Rose," "Sunday," "Sunny," there are so many possibilities!

    Namaste~~

    Re: Lucky Little Sunday Rose

I do like Rose as a middle name, and love Grace!  Sunday is pretty, as long as people don't shorten it, since it is her first name.  I guess I like both of them overall, just not together!  Maybe b/c I am southern, a nickname Sunny just does not sound feminine.

My mother named me Tamara for a reason, and would become highly agitated when people would refer to me as "Tammy".  No offense to the name, my mother always said, but I named you Tamara for a reason.  However, I do call my daughter Bree, short for Aubree, but only around the family!

By the way, I think Mai is a gorgeous name, and would consider that if I had another little girl.  It is different, sounds very feminine and sweet, and can follow her as a wonderful adult name as well!
