    Gladiator Sandals Redux?

Hmmmm....they weren't really my thing the first time around, and now they're making a huge comeback....
    What do you all think?

I love them - I've decided that if I can't wear heels during my pregnancy, the least the fashion world could do is come up with some fabulous flats. They've delivered.

I couldn't agree more! I love them with skirts, but I also think they look fab with skinny jeans.

I just really don't like them - I don't think they flatter anyone's foot.  I still favor a kitten heel or a cute ballerina flat.

Ooooooh Lodo, I'm with you on this one! I ADORE kitten heels, ballet flats, and stilettos.

Not sold on the gladiator reprise at all just yet....not sure that I ever will be. Fine for others, not for Ms. A this go 'round. Glad to know I'm not alone, Lodo...thanks for chiming in!

    Re: Gladiator Sandals Redux?

I'm sorry--I just can't make them appealing to my eye.  I am 5'5" and muscular/athletically built, so maybe I am only seeing them on me--and that would only make me appear short and stocky.  I have to have some type of heel, especially the chunky wedge with my shorts and jeans.

I am sure they look wonderful on the tall, slender built type :)

    To each their own!!

    Re: Gladiator Sandals Redux?

I love ballet flats and actually practically live in them - the only thing is that I love idea of a flat sandal which is better looking than a flip flop...and granted not all of the gladiator variety are particularly flattering, some have impressed. Here's my real thought on this though, it's all about how you wear them...it doesn't matter if they're the latest, coolest, must-haves, if you're not comfortable or not loving your look, then forget about it. And when you're pregnant (which is what I'm realising now) - you definitely want to be comfortable!!

    Re: Gladiator Sandals Redux?

Though I usually have very firm ideas about shoes, gladiators have me stumped... and stumpy! Not really sure if they're flattering or not. It's possible my bump is throwing me off a bit, but gladiators and even ballet flats just sort of make me feel a bit unbalanced, which is why I tend to stick to heels these days. If they're still around next summer, maybe I'll give them a try...

You'll notice the lack of gladiator sandals here...
What do you think? Did the Mamas miss the mark this week?
If so, feel free to add your current superlative shoes to the spread!
