    Gorgeously Green!

Curious..has anyone read, or started to read Gorgeously Green by Sophie Uliano?? I bought it a couple of weeks ago, and I can't put it down! I can actually point out things to hubby and he doesn't ask questions about why I'm (unusual action..taking off all plastic bottle caps and separating them from the trash and recyclables)..Its helpful to know that the simplest things you do, which can have such a negative impact on the environment, can be easily changed. Back in Florida, I had a huge garden of basil, greenbeans, cucumbers and tomatoes..it was tough to leave behind. I planted some basil, and they're growing beautifully, its a little harder to grow veggies from a windowsill of an apartment. If you haven't already, you should pick up the book, it's chicly modern, environment-friendly! You can also buy it online at www.gorgeouslygreen.com

Hey Deahna, I saw that book- I'll have to go back and get it! We're having a hard time really getting going on saving the world. It's like I know I should, but just keep not. Major guilt!!!

Maybe Gorgeously Green will help! Thanks!

yes, so far its a great book, with lots of info! it is difficult to keep track of all the eco-changes we should be making. But in her book, sophie makes the point of doing atleast one green activity a day, however small; should make you feel like your contributing to help preserve the earth, because no one can doing everything, and with all the people who are going-green, there are many who are still heavy polluters. also, when you buy the book, go to the website www.gorgeouslygreen.com and you can get yourself a free reuseble tote bag, by finding a word on a certain page of the book. check it out! its cute, and a good way to start your eco-friendly regime.

The easiest change I've made is using one of the many (many) available and adorable shopping totes when I go to market. My local shop even gives you a discount when you use your own tote! Win-win!

My current favorite is the White Rose Cinchy Tote from Rebagz:
How cute is that? It used to be a Rice Sack, but now? Now, it's my favorite toss-it-all-in-and-go bag! Gorgeously Green in action!
