AT YOUR SERVICE...
Expectancy is fraught with anxiety-provoking responsibilities borne of anticipation, the genuinely necessary and the self-imposed superfluous. Maternity belts can support pregnancy’s visible addition of weight; but what of the cumbersome intangibles of preparation and newborn maintenance? New motherhood imbues one with a sense of “I’ve got to do it all for my baby,” but perhaps greater sensibility lies in strategic delegation. Need crib assembly? Lactation counseling? Help with sleep training? InBloom can reduce maternal overload by providing a wide spectrum of pregnancy/baby-related services. Free yourself up to blossom with your new baby…or babies!

ROCK OF AGES
Haunted by lullaby imagery? Fearful of falling cradles? Assuage your angst. Sway with your baby safely -- underneath the treetops! Simply tie Gaeaforms’ Leaf betwixt two sturdy trunks and let the wind blow and your foliate cradle rock. Molded in first-sprouts-of-spring green, the frame’s edges unfurl ever-so-slightly -- caressing and containing what surely must be a family of slumbering woodland nymphs. Suitable for outdoors, yet attractive enough for in, this combination of nature and nurture truly rocks.

SUMMER'S IN AND WE'RE OUT!
Sociologists will back me on this one: all good parties tend to gravitate into the kitchen. The pull of appetite attraction is a powerful force. Once warmer weather permits, make the migration from interior to exterior easily with this phenomenal feast-preparing focal point. Flame-kissed foodstuffs cooked within an environment appearing more furniture than functioning gas grill will guarantee your backyard as summer soiree central. So don the adorable apron. Marinate the meat and prep the produce. Fire it up!

GO,GO, GADGET GIRLS!
Most twin mamas will attest, nursing more than one infant presents unique challenges. In those first days with dual newborns (who typically arrive early and often lack suck sufficiency), power pumping simulates -- and stimulates -- effectively. Two breasts need to feed two babies; multiply the milk mandate accordingly. Assorted occasions merit breast milk extraction for the doubly nursing mama. Holding funnels in place is a waste of precious time. Free your hands and your stress will follow. Medela’s Freestyle helps it happen.

ROAMIN' HOLIDAY
Astride National Velvet, Liz Taylor inspired would-be equestrians. Steve McQueen upped the macho-factor for motorcycles one-hundredfold. Leonardo DiCaprio managed to make a sinking ship look sensational; but one celebrity couple elevated a mobility mode for decades to follow. The type of transport? A little Via Appia-friendly vehicle known as the Vespa. Seasoned stroller purveyors Peg Perego have taken Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck’s Roman ride and styled it suitably for the small set. Molto divertente, Bambini!

DRESSING FOR THE OCCASION
Skirting the issue is not always a bad thing, especially when the “issue” is a blossoming bump. As mama-to-be grows, conveying kicky, frisky femininity is occasionally challenging. Thankfully, Kate Beaconsfield and Lisa Balakas, the Aussie mamas behind Ripe Maternity, for over a decade now have raised the bar -- and frequently, the hemline  -- for the expanding (and the post-partumly retracting) style-conscious sisterhood. Expectancy alters areas beyond the belly; this knee-skimming skirt kisses those curves with confidence -- and booty -- boosting élan!

BIRTHDAY BASH-ING
We all want to observe our little blessings’ birthdays. With two tiny tykes celebrating simultaneously in our home, the glut of goodies will undoubtedly be egregious. Not all wee ones are so fortunate. This year as you blow out the candles, consider making a wish come true for a family in need of festivities. The caring crew at BirthdayWishes.org makes sure homelessness doesn’t preclude happiness for shelter-dwelling children on their special day. Fight for their right to party.

MY MAMA TOLD ME...
That first self-portrait. The hand-drawn Valentine. Splayed fingers outlined in pencil. The treasures in Mama’s museum may not be sought by Sotheby’s, but irreplaceable creations merit conservation. In ages past, la crème de crayon was preserved in scrapbooks or tacked up proudly. Forget the ‘fridge. Silversmith Lee Skalkos can transform your tot’s tour de force into a wearable work of art. Select sterling silver or 14K gold; precious efforts deserve precious metals. Melt Mama’s heart with art she can place close to hers.

EVOLUTION OF ECO-FASHION
To take pre-existing elements and combine them -- reworking previously discrete aspects into an enticingly fresh configuration requires artistry...creativity...motivation... inspiration. Matisse did it. Frank Lloyd Wright did it. Dance club DJs do it. Eco-conscious designer Anna Mkhitarian is doing it -- and in superlative earth-honoring style. Pieces from previous prom wear, repurposed relics and remnants, wardrobe bits acquired worldwide, discarded gems and jewels in Anna’s able hands find fashion fruition -- taking reuse to righteous new levels.

ESTATE PLANNING
Green thumbs are passé; why not consider a green pointer, middle finger or pinkie? With seeds for its sparkle and fecundity for its facets, La Bague Gazon is an extraordinary option for plant lovers seeking germination’s jewels. Steeped in a petite pot of porcelain, after a mere fortnight and day, your couture crop is ready-to-wear. Dressing green can now be taken to the tips -- more accurately, the bases -- of your fingers. Far easier to cut than diamonds, ring in this spring with a set of grass knuckles.

FORECAST: FAMILY
The diaper cake concept has always struck me as disturbingly oxymoronic. The combination of “consumables” never worked too appetizingly in my view. Clearly, the creative crafters at Babycakes feel similarly, and are taking the shower centerpieces to a luscious new level. Tiers of tiny togs and delectably darling accessories for the angel on the way are sculpted monumentally in honor of the mama-to-be.  Frosting is fleeting -- thankfully these cute confections transition from prenatal to post-partum preciously.

Lullabies are lovely; but daylight hours deserve more mirthful melodies. With tot-inspired titles like “I Hope My Mama Says ‘Yes!’” (Jack’s Big Music Show fans are already humming…) and “I Can Do It by Myself,” Brooklyn-based beauty Audra Tsanos (frontwoman for AudraRox), amuses both joyful Juniors and their serious Seniors with pitch-perfect panache. Bouncy beats. Rollicking rhythms. Giggle-worthy grooves. Don’t think twice, Mama. For real-kid lyrics paired with real-kickin’ rock, go ahead -- “say ‘Yes!’”

MY LIFE IN PICTURES
From two eggs warmed within to two ovoids worn without, this twin-friendly twist on the traditional locket certainly seems the product of a plural parent designer. Coupled countenances are easily accessed by all would-be admirers with no tediously tiny enclosures to unfasten. Blossoming foliage incised on each obverse analogously echoes the growth of its sweet interior bud. Hand hewn, with milk-painted mahogany surfaces in an enticingly iridescent mint, Michael Cullen’s work beautifully blends nature’s inspiration with artistic engineering. MAKE MOBILE DAYS MERRY
Pre-motherhood, endeavors to hone my body were about toning, elongating and firming. WHAT I DID FOR MY SUMMER VACATION

WINTER WONDER-WEAR
Since my social schedule is swamped, I need a festive (and fund-friendly) frock versatile enough to make a guest appearance at several sassy soirees. Whether you have a luscious backside, va-va-voom bust or, like me, want to keep your tummy under wraps (literally), the extra-long, two-tone straps on this convertible halter let you change styles at the drop of a snowflake.

SEASON’S HEATINGS
Although the twins are still tiny tots, it's never too early to embark on annual excursions to the Acqualina Resort in Miami. Mai & Ringo were entertained by the onsite baby butlers while daddy and I dined oceanside on contemporary tropical cuisine. I can't wait until the twins are old enough for the marine adventures and culinary classes for kids - complete with chef's hats!

DERMIS DIVINE
My uber-sensitive skin breaks into hives at the mere thought of an itchy wool sweater. Thankfully, my cosmetics confidant (thanks Eliza!) turned me on to Bare Escentuals mineral makeup. It's so pure that I can sleep in it and I love the gorgeous eye kits!

MASSAGING MOTHER EARTH
While I love to nurture nature by tending to my garden and the twins, I pay homage to Mother Earth's marvels with my sterling silver twig jewelry. Indie silversmiths Heather and Kerry Alice Collins make one-of-a-kind twigs, acorns, and maple seeds.

PENCIL ENVY
Exotic. Trendy. Elegant. I’m not referring to my favorite Ella Moss halter dress, but to my gab-fab Nokia 7370 swivel cell phone. Don’t let the floral etching and gorgeous leather accents fool you, because it’s not just about looks. The camera, MP3 player and high-speed internet browser keep this gal on the go totally connected.
